Department of Multidisciplinary Radiological Science

About the Department

Due to industrial development and increase in household income, there has been a rising demand for improving the quality of life. In a modern society, medical imaging technology has been one of the technologies which have drawn attention from major countries. In particular, since there has been a rising demand for diverse medical imaging technologies used for diagnosing diseases or observing medical effects, a demand of related medical staff has gradually increased as well.

Therefore, our department targets to nurture professional researchers for R&Ds on new technologies through convergence with other sectors. Specifically, we develop indicators needed to diagnose and treat diseases and perform R&Ds on new radiation and imaging technologies and devices through interdisciplinary researches with other fields such as radiation-based medical images, medical devices, high-tech computer, electricity & electronics, physics, machine engineering and physical medicine & rehabilitation.
